Board of Directors

The Board of Directors are the stewards of Led by TRUTH. As a collective body, the Board governs the organization to ensure that operations adhere to the organization's mission, vision, and values.  The board also ensures adherence to all laws and is accountable to the public.  The Board sets and monitors policies & procedures.  The Board operates through the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), who executes policy and is responsible for the prudent & creative operations of the organization. 

Board commitment consists of:

• 1 hour monthly Board meetings
• 1-2 hours a month of board advocacy work
• Annual 3 hour Board Strategic Retreat
• Board terms are 2 years with a possibility of up to 4 consecutive terms

The Board of Directors are responsible for:

• Representing the organization's stakeholders
• Ensuring legal, financial, and operational accountability
• Setting policies and organizational goals
• Reviewing and amending bylaws
• Nominating and electing officers
• Recruiting new Board members
• Attending Board and committee meetings
• Adhering to Board decisions
• Adopting budgets
• Participating in fundraising activities

Led by TRUTH is currently recruiting Board members with experience in, but not exclusive to:

• Marketing
• Public Policy
• Fundraising
• Personnel or Family Law
• Local Business Owners
• IT
• Finance
• Non-Profit
