What You Can Expect:

 

The BLOOM Mentorship Program is a 12-month initiative for Founders of Color, offering personalized business growth guidance. It includes monthly mentorship, strategic advice through workshops and consultations, and comprehensive coaching support, structured in two phases: 

  • First 6 months: Focus on foundational knowledge and strategy building.
  • Final 6 months: Emphasize strategy execution and expand networking opportunities.

  • A Mentor offers invaluable lessons from their personal entrepreneurial journey, especially beneficial during the formative stages. By sharing their experiences and insights, they assist Founders of Color in navigating challenges and making informed decisions.

  •  An Advisor specializes in offering strategic guidance in key areas such as marketing, accounting, and financial advising. They provide targeted expertise, facilitate workshops, and conduct 1-on-1 consultations to equip Founders of Color with actionable strategies and practical tools.

  • A Coach offers unwavering support for the entire 12-month program, encompassing all phases. They focus on continuous business coaching, assisting founders in goal-setting, strategy formulation, and obstacle navigation, fostering self-discovery, resilience, and growth.

  • Startups that benefit from mentorship tend to grow 3.5 times faster and raise seven times more funding. Mentorship offers strategic guidance, networking opportunities, and crucial insights that accelerate growth. (Source: Forbes) 

  •  Indeed. 75% of high-growth entrepreneurs had mentors, which underscores the value of mentorship.   • The importance of these roles in supporting Founders of Color cannot be overstated, especially when considering representation and disparities in business ownership. In the Twin Cities, while the BIPOC population accounts for 22% of the metro, only 7% of all businesses are BIPOC-owned (Source: MinnPost ). This stark contrast underscores the barriers that Founders of Color face. Through the dedicated roles of Mentors, Advisors, and Coaches, Led by TRUTH aim to bridge this gap by providing representation, tailored guidance, knowledge, and continuous support. By doing so, they empower Founders of Color to overcome challenges, amplify their unique experiences, and successfully navigate their entrepreneurial journeys, ultimately striving to balance the scales and enrich the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the Twin Cities.
